The deadline to begin submitting information to the CMS Medicare Ground Ambulance Data Collection System is looming, and it’s never been more important to assure your data is submitted accurately and reflects the true cost of ambulance service delivery! The process can appear mind-boggling. But, the folks at the RAND Corporation, the developers of the Ground Ambulance Data Collection System for CMS, are offering the opportunity for South Carolina ambulance suppliers and providers to learn first-hand about the key elements of the Cost Collection process and tool. Submitting this data accurately will help assure a comprehensive review this important submission process to help to assure adequate Medicare reimbursement for years to come!
Andrew Mulcahy of RAND (expand with Title, etc.) will walk attendees through the data collection tool to help agencies prepare and submit their cost report. The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) also developed a guide to assist agencies with their cost data collection and Matt Zavadsky, NAEMT’s Immediate Past President, and chair of their EMS Economics Committee will introduce and explain this tool.
