2026 SCEMSA Leadership Conference

September 16–18, 2026  •  Charleston, South Carolina

Conference Overview

The SCEMSA Leadership Conference is a dedicated forum for EMS leaders across South Carolina to sharpen their skills, share real-world strategies, and explore the latest developments impacting emergency medical services. This three day event brings together directors, chiefs, supervisors, educators, medical professionals, and industry partners committed to strong EMS leadership.

Who Should Submit and Session Focus

We welcome proposals from EMS leaders, supervisors, educators, physicians, and healthcare partners with practical experience in leading people, managing operations, and planning for the future of EMS. Sessions should provide tools, frameworks, or case studies that EMS leaders and directors can apply in their agencies.

Presentation Topics

We seek presentations that align with SCEMSA’s mission to promote and support the highest quality of emergency medical services. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Leadership Development: Building effective leaders, developing future supervisors, team culture, coaching, and mentorship.
• Operational Excellence: Best practices in deployment, resource management, performance improvement, and response models.
• Community Engagement: Public education initiatives, outreach programs, and community partnerships that support EMS.
• Health and Wellness: Strategies to support resilience, mental health, safety, and long term careers for EMS professionals.

Speaker Categories

• National Speakers: Based more than 350 miles from Charleston and typically delivering three to four lectures during the conference.
• Regional Speakers: Based in South Carolina and typically presenting one to two sessions.

Proposal Requirements

To be considered, each proposal must include:

• Presentation title, description, and learning objectives
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Short bio (100 word maximum)
• Publicity photo (JPG, 300 dpi)

Submission Guidelines

• All proposals must be submitted online through the conference speaker submission form.
• Content should be specifically relevant to EMS leaders, directors, and decision makers.
• Sessions must be educational in nature. Sales-focused or product demos will not be considered.
• Incomplete submissions or proposals that do not meet the criteria may be declined without review.
• Notifications will be sent once the review process has been completed.

Please submit your presentation proposal using the online form linked below. Be sure to complete all required fields and upload the requested documents before submitting.

Proposals must be received by January 30 at 11:59 PM EST.
